Shadow looks weird because it being there doesn't make any sense to the eye, since the lines on the floor are curved, and for there to be a shadow like that there the light in the photo would be coming from the right and the left side of Angel would be covered. Also, I like the idea, but for it to work there has to be something more sinister about the shadow, it might also be prudent to have the shadow behind Angel.
Did you consider doing a half and half of Angel's human face and Angel's Vampire face?
