Re: Move over, E. Coli... Yep. Though I've never actually met anyone with a pet allergy before. Sterility's also been identified as a cause for children developing asthma and eczema.
Sterility's a good idea in medical situations for obvious reasons, and food hygiene in restaurants is a good idea due to the sheer volume of food people prepare. At the end of the day though, people were designed to live in unsterile environments with the presence of bacteria, and we're actually dependent on some types I believe, so some restraint must be shown.
