Default Re: 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' Motion Picture Collection - Blu Ray

"Star Trek: First Contact" - The best of the TNG films gets off to a great start. The transfer is excellent - flesh tones look more natural than I've ever seen them on home video, and the lighting seems a bit warmer in this transfer. Detail is excellent, which is great because, of all the TNG films, this one has the most texture in its production design. There are lots of areas with grates, small lights, tiny details, labels, signs... the 21st century costumes (notice the texture and fuzzies on Picard's long coat when he goes down to Earth, or how Cochrane's coat is warm and has damaged patches)... the complex Borg makeup and sets... The model and CGI work in the Borg cube battle at the beginning holds up extremely well - in fact, it looks (and sounds) amazing.
