Default Re: 'Star Trek: The Original Series' Season 3 blu-ray

3x06 "Spectre of the Gun" - This episode is completely ridiculous. Disembodied head aliens that float around in colored fog force the crew to re-enact the gunfight at the OK Corral. The production is surreal and silly as all hell, and that makes this episode completely fun from start to finish. It's not a real, dramatic sci-fi episode... it's just a crazy, wacked-out drug trip starring the cast of 'Star Trek'. What bothers me a bit, though, is that, at the beginning, Kirk pretty much forces himself on the aliens. They tell him to go away, and he says his mission is to develop peaceful contact "no matter the cost". What? That barely makes any sense whatsoever. But then, neither does the rest of this ridiculous episode. Oh well. Colors are bold, detail is strong, and grain is rarely an issue.
