Well, the ENT-D was all soothing tones because you were supposed to be relaxed at work or some bullshit. I never really got into that, and I'm glad they fixed it up for Generations, and ditched it entirely for DS9 and Voyager. The NX-01 on the other hand needs more colors and signs to make it look "take-no-chances" experimental.
