I am so incredibly pissed off right now I don't know what to do with myself. I live with my landlord, and two other roomates. The way the house is set up, my landlords room is right beside mine. There's a door that connects her closet to my room. It's locked on both sides for obvious reasons, but it's an older house, so there are craks around the door. It's nothing I couldn't very easily kick open. So, one of my constant worries, is that I'm making too much noise, but incredibly, the sound between rooms even with this door, is great. I can barely hear her over there. Most times anyways...

I went to bed around 1130. You see, I work at 8am so I figured I should try and get a full nights sleep. Now, my landlord, is not the party type. She's probably in her earlt 50s, but she is a really cool woman for her age. Now tonight, she had a few drinks I guess before going to bed. So around midnight, I heard her go into her room, and turn on some crappy old country music. It was up quite loud. Not party loud, but just loud enough so that could hear it, I'm sure you all know what I mean, it was "annoyingly loud". It didn't bother me, as she's not one to do this regularly, and I figured she'd have it on for a half hour, and then go to bed.

Well, I was half right. She went to bed, but she left the music on. I don't even know what it is that's playing, it's not a tape, cause it's now 4:14am, and a tape would have ran out long ago. It's not a cd, cause she doesn't own a cd player. It's not the radio, because there empty pauses between each song, and no announcer or commercials etc.... but I digress..

Around 1 am it started to annoy me a little bit, so I went and knocked on her door. This is the point where I realized she was asleep. So I said fuck it, and went back to bed to try and ignore it. around 130, I realized it was going to be harder than that, so I went and knocked again, a little louder, and called out to her.. nothing. 230 rolls around, and I decided to turn my tv on, and fall asleep to that, hoping it would drown out the music. It did for the most part, but it's country music, so every now and then, I'd hear just the faintest redneck yodle. Now again, I KNOW you all understand what I mean when I say it was just barely audible over the tv, but that little bit was so incredibly annoying that I nearly walked right into her room to shut it off.

The end result here, is that I don't want to piss my landlord off by walking into her room (I'd be pissed if it were me) in the middle of the night. Not to mention, god only knows she might sleep naked or something, and that's a sight I would rather avoid if at all possible. So here I am, almost 430 am, having not slept at all, drinking a cup of coffee because even if I could get to sleep at this point I'd have to get up at 630 and if I sleep now, that won't happen. I don't know what makes me angrier, the thought that she could be so fucking inconsiderate, or the thought that if I walked in there to turn it off I'd end up as the asshole.

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!! This is gonna be one long ass fucking day...

It did in fact, somewhere around 3am, unfortunatley, I haven't the slightest idea where the breakers are, and turning off the power shuts off the furnace, and it's a big ordeal starting it up again.

Buy her a cheap pair of headphones and tell her next time she gets the urge to play her music in the middle of the night to use them so that others in the house can sleep.

Tell her that the sound of country music makes you masterbate, that you don;t understand it...it is just some type of Pavlovian response you had from watching Barnyard Porn as an early adolescent. Explain that the down side is that her music playing all night long left you drained and sore from continuos cranking on your shaft and that you will be sending her the invoice for the soothing aloe gel you have to use to ease your pain.

Also tell he the room needs repainting because the wall by your bed now looks like a glazed donut.
