Today marked the first of several training meetings. We/I get to train the folks in India that are replacing us. What fun.

Nah... it will all be web-based teleconferences. Going to India would be cool, though... at least, once I got innoculated against malaria & such.

Outsourcing is fucking evil. I always give those people a hard time on the phone when I have to listen to their mangling of the language I speak. Quite often I ask to be transferred back to a representative of the company in question who is back here in North America.

It would be better to let illegal immigrants from Mexico do this sort of work because at least then the money would go back into the local economy.

My new boss is Indian and he says he would never outsource anything back there because "those people" have no clue about customer service.

All of you who are getting outsourced should quietly agree to sabotage the training...nothing that would immediately throw up a red flag, but just some litte things here and there...

LOL... the sweet thing about this is, truly, that these guys will be clueless despite any sabotage I might or might not do. My/their customers will be furious, and it will all come back to kick my manager's ass to high heaven.

I'd like to point out once again, that my job, well the one I just quit anyways... was the result of outsourcing...
