| Astro-Monkey | Fucking computers. I can't boot into Windows. I can't even fucking boot into safe mode to fix what I did (admittedly, probably something I shouldn't have). I've tried to fix the installation off of the recovery disk, but that doesn't work. So now it looks like I'll have to reinstall. While there's nothing really that important on there (nothing that I can't replace), it's just fucking inconvenient. Fucking computers.

| Lover AND a Fighter | What Windows version is it? If answer = 2K or XP, then use the original disk and run the recovery console. It works 60% of the time. You should even be able to rewrite the MBR, which I don't recommend if its a dual boot. Better yet, it will allow a 'repair' of the OS which is essentially a reinstall but allows you to keep your existing programs & files.

| Astro-Monkey | Recovery console was useless. It would let me at the files I had backed up in case I fried my computer. But yeah, I let my Win XP disk take care of the repair and it fixed it. Well, it fixed it eventually. Thanks.
