C'mon, you don't think that parents were once sexually active and would perform unthinkable acts on each other and that could be the one reason two people get together.

How can you not have heard Reagan died? Here in the States it is just about on EVERY friggin' channel - ALL THE TIME!!

That's right, cause if something big happened in the US, that automatically means that the rest of the world should give a shit right?

And for the record, I only heard about it for the first time today as I was reading tis thread

No, that's not what I am saying. It is just that we are being buried in coverage, one would think that even if a fraction of the coverage was provided, at least in Canada, it would still be alot. There was a shit load of coverage about the Canadian PM not showing up and Thatcher and Prince Charles being here. I would guess some of that would show up locally.

Besides it is not like some Welsh schmoe died -- like him or not Reagan was pretty well known world wide. Remember his famous line at the Berlin Wall...

"Mr. Gorbachev, tear down your pants"

or something like it, I can't quite remember.

Yeah, it probably got a slot at the end of the news programmes the day it happened, but it's not really a big issue to us.

You know, I'm sad for his family's loss, but I am getting tired of hearing about it every friggn' 10 minutes!

and here's another angle of some people looking sad. and once again here's what his flag-draped coffin looks like

What's funny though, most people say they only went to the L.O.C. because they "wanted to be a part of history" BAH! even funnier, they take their kids who don't even know who the hell he was other than a past president.

BTW... Your mom trashed you uniform and possibly your medals but KEPT your ex's wedding dress!?! That's cold dude!
