Some stuff I've done lately:

My first model:

It sucks. Hard. But I'm only just learning it, so.... blow me. But I've actually rebuilt the entire thing from scratch since then and it's much better. I'll post that when I get onto my other computer in an hour or so.

A frame from a quick animation:
<img src='http://www.geocities.com/brikar99/pictures/7_03/1701asteroid2.jpg[/img]

A still image from a speech I gave on the advantages of LW over the other major 3D apps:

The Defiant in orbit of a planet it has no business being in orbit of:

A shot from a tutorial I wrote for space scenes for a class:

A quick test to try out Pyromania Pro:

An image I was still working on when my girlfriend decided to turn off my computer:

Geocities still doesn't like linking, so I don't know if you guys are gonna be able to see these without doing some fancy cut'n'paste, or at all. I'll fix it later if not.

I've got a few more things, but not on this computer. I'll put more up later. Hey, can I be moderator again?

Hm, some of these don't have credits I just noticed. I'll fix that when I get back to my other comp, too, but here they are for now:

1701-A by Eric Petersen and Chris Guinn
1701-E by Ralph Schoberth
Defiant by Skye Dodds
Coruscant by Fabio Passaro
Drydock by Zippy
Phobos (Low Poly) by Fabio Passaro and MattC[/img]

It's really hard to tell if it sucks or not without some texture.

Uh... I don't know. Should there be an icon somewhere telling me that I am?

EDIT: Sweet, I think I found it...

My only criticism is that they're too dark for my taste, I mean, I had to turn on the ol' TV display to take a good look, but I'll say that the Defiant one looks fucking good on my TV.

I gotta disagree with Cymro... I don't find the images too dark at all, I like that way actually, I mean how much light is there in space?

Maybe it's a gamma issue with your monitor, because they look perfectly fine on mine.

Mmmm, flat-panel....

But I have no issues seeing any of the images I posted, and, indeed, I made some of them purposefully dark.

But yeah, there's no ambient light in space, and turning on the ambient light in LW makes things look like crap unless you're rendering a sunny afternoon or something. Totally washes out any kind of detail, and you can forget about decent-looking shadow maps.

Well even after cutting & pasting, the images still don't show up in here for me.

That little red "x" is sure cool as hell though!

Well, I'll make an html page with thumbnails on it, then. Gimme 5 min.
