I'm working on it. I'm trying to change it so I don't have to photoshop every image, because the dirt, text and deflector on that one were acctually added in Photoshop.

Actually, Bean is being rather reserved about this rendition, beautiful doesn't even begin to describe that image. I'm gonig to have to add it to my desktop rotation app, having it put it up at my peak usage time so that I can gaze upon it and think of stuff to write about.

You reworked the dish? Good show! That is about the only thing about the original Enterprise that needed to be updated. In fact, it shouldn't be a "dish" in the classic sense of a radar dish, not in this day and age. I almost envision something like an emitter grid, with a similar looking but smaller array at the front of the saucer aimed upward to deflect particles coming from above, likewise on the front of the shuttlecraft.

The basic design of the Constitution class starship is simply the best of all of the designs, with Picard's ship a close second.

I can see that I'll have to get myself a copy of Photoshop soon, the GIMP just ain't cutting it anymore.

Cymro, you have an excellent design sense. I urge you to tighten up your skills and put together a resume and git yerself a job in the industry.

The name and registry are now part of the mesh, as is the deflector. I need to play with the decals a bit. It looks a bit blotchy because I've been playing with adding a dirty effect and haven't quite perfected.

In this one, I think I see a problem with the nacelle strut on the far side of the model. The perspective seems wrong to me.

That's the problem when you bang two bits together.

Eventually, I'll have built a complete mesh from scratch, so hopefully it'll look more together than this.

The worst thing about this one is it sucks up so much system resources.

EDIT: There's nothing wrong with the alignment, it just looks weird because it's at a funny angle.
