So last weekend was a sales tax holiday here in Massachusetts. I used the opportunity to purchase a Wacom Intuos4 "Medium" graphics tablet.

This thing takes some serious getting used to, but I'm pretty frickin' excited about it. I've spent some time over the last week just playing around with the brushes and the like, and I've made two comic strips for my web comic with it so far. The first one sucked, but I'm actually pretty pleased with the second, which I'm attaching here. I can't wait to get down to business with it on the graphic novel project I've been doing.

I used to be able to draw them. But I actually stopped drawing for a few years, and I'm still getting back into it, as much as I've been doing. That's one of the things I haven't really been able to get back. I can get the shape of the hand correctly, but trying to differentiate fingers it starts to look freaking awful.
