![]() | I'm gonna use this thread from now on for progress. Right now I'm modelling the Galileo and Copernicus shuttlecraft, and the Rock Warrior. I'll also be making a copy of the Barrier-planet landscape for shots when the Copernicus lands, and when the Rock Warrior starts to tear it apart. So, I'm basically re-starting over this project that I tried to do very unsuccessfully last year. And then my computer broke. But now I'm back, and I'm modelling. And now I've got the damn flick in widescreen! So what's my progress so far? I've modelled the torso of the Rock Warrior. I restarted the arms because I didn't like the way they were turning out, and I want to do something a bit closer to the picture. Here's Nilo Rodis' designs and a screencap of my model.

![]() | Nilo Rodis designed the look for The Empire Strikes Back along with Joe Johnston. Rodis is quite talented. I'm surprised that he's working for the Star Trek franchise. Looks good Bri, can't wait to see the finished design. |

![]() | I didn't know that about EMPIRE. But Rodis pulled double duty for "Final Frontier," designing a lot of the costumes and such and was the film's art director, I believe. I've added arms to the rock creature, but no hands or legs yet. And I won't even think about texturing it until it's totally finished.

![]() | I make four or five points at a time, select them all and hit "make polygon" or the P key, and it makes a polygon. It's probably the WORST way to construct a mesh, especially one of a humanoid figure, but I just started it one night and it looked good, so I kept with it.
