Niiiice!

I noticed on that mesh of the Enterprise, that there is blue light coming from the port side of the starboard nacelle. It looks like a newer rendition of the classic Constitution class design, unless I just haven't been paying attention :?

Glad you enjoyed them. Coming from our best 3d artist, that's high praise indeed.

Here's a couple a more pic's. Sadly, I can't see them thanks to my buddy's piece of shit computer. More on that in Angry Beaver tommorrow. In the meantime......please let me know if they came out okay. I can attach, but can't see.

Looks good to me.

But the picture makes me wonder something.

In a lot of CGI in sci fi, and even pre CGI like in the original Star Trek, they almost always have the ships leveled the same way. Unless there's some kind of protocol or etiquette that dictates that when you encounter another ship in space that you're supposed to level the top and bottom of your ship with that of the ship that you're meeting, I don't get it. Unless theyre just not willing to do it. But then again, we've been getting sound effects during space scenes for a long time too.

I've had two hours of sleep in the past 36 hours. I think of things like this when I need sleep. :coffee:

The last two Trek pic's are not CGI by me. They're screen caps that I made into spiffy pic's using Photoshop.

It's unrealistic, but it's one of those things that needs to be done unrealisticly, to stop things from looking stupid, really. I mean, how weird would it look if every klingon ship we saw was on it's side or upside down?
