When 9-year olds become sex offenders...that has to be one of the signs of the apocolypse.

The child is definately disturbed. A one-off incident doesn't concern me overly, since kids will do the stupidest things and can be given a serious enough punishment to prevent them doing it again (I remember at about 10 when one of the girls in our class started to wear a bra kids would twang it through her shirt. However if caught they only did it once...).

What worries me is the implication that this isn't the first time. The kid needs monitoring and some sort of behavioural therapy to drum home that the behaviour is wrong. Most kids can be made to understand that this is wrong. If he can't then the worry is that they may have a potential future sex offender on their hands.

The kid also needs to be investigated for his own protection. Did he get the idea from talk in the playground or because he saw something he shouldn't on TV or overheard an older brother? Or more sinisterly is he copying something he saw in real life - like a relative abusing a sister or cousin?

I don't say this in a reactionary way, or in a "I'm so big and tough" kind of way, but if either of my children were ever caught doing something like this, I would beat the living hell out of him.

How could a child, get so fucked up, so early. I don't think they should beat the child actually. I think they should strap his parents down and beat them, and make this little monster watch. Sick little fuck.

I don't think it would be a question of wether he would do it again, because I don't think I could bring myself to ever look at him again. I know that sounds harsh, but god, how sick does a person have to be...
