Come over to the firecaves if you haven't already - Sim has posted a fantastc thread (originally in shoreleave of all places) asking if it was such a good thing that the Nazis were defeated. It's gone absolutely batshit. And now archangel is proposing we set up a TrekWeb guild of assassins to start flamewars.

I'll bet smoke is laughing his arse off right now!

Sim is great! I remember when he first arrived at TW, he was fairly typical of the Germans who still hold guilt for what their ancestors did. Sim has learned to be sarcastic and funny. That he created that thread shows me that he has leaned well the ways of the Jedi.

Haven't seen much of that old Pah' Wraith Deus lately. He's probably having carnal relations with a wax likeness of Dr. Smith from Lost In Space right about now. All that heat and fire is likely to make the wax melt all over the place.

In answer to your question, the answer is a resounding YES! I've noticed that the "smoke" factor has risen lately. Oh, how I miss seeing that gif image that SA had of the astronaut in space nexet to his moniker.

I remember when I first read the handle "Smoking Astronaut", I thought it was genius. First of all, smoking in space would be dangerous, but I was only thinking of cigarettes (fags for you Brits:

) It didn't dawn on me until one time when I was stoned that perhaps the Smoking Astronaut wasn't smoking stogies at all! I wish he was still with us...dammit!!!

I haven't been at TW in weeks as all my adversaries there seem to have dropped off the face of the Earth. HOWEVER, it might be time for T'POONTANG or perhaps HADJI M'ZADI (the gay Muslim) to resurface in an effort to carry on SA's legacy of troublemaking.

May also be time to remind ARCHANGEL that Mr. Frodo and Samwise were meant to be lovers by Tolkien, and that Sean Astin has been a notorious Hollywood closet cocksucker since his GOONIES days...

LOL. You know I can almost see Archangel giving up his mod status, just so he can join in the fun - he's sounding almost whimsical in his old age.

Apparently Sim has gotten 3 or 4 report to mods, which is apparently quite a lot.

I'm surprised at how humorless and stupid some of the angry responders were. Sim's post was such an obvious ploy... ah, trekweb, never has it been so lively and interesting, especially since ENT is gone LOL!
