Nor was it intended to be a casual comment. I honestly believe that if the city was predominantly rich, white republicans, the death toll would have been significantly lower than the atrocious number it will inevitably be.

...if only because Whitey had the means to get out before the flood. I'll bet a lot of those poor fuckers haver never been outside a twenty mile radius of where their shotgun shack or government housing was. The ones I've seen interviewed say they'll never go back if at all possible.
