Does anyone else have the problem when they post about a story on TrekWeb where it says you're successful but your post doesn't show up on the story, even after refreshing your browser? I hate that..

"The captain's been taken hostage again!"

"Uh-oh, better get MACO!"

Bad acronym choice, guys...

The talkback section or the forum.

The talkback section isn't dynamically generated when you pull up the page; rather it rebuilds itself every fifteen minutes (or that's what I understand from Steve) to reduce the database load. Hence why posts don't always show up right away.

Yeah, that threw me for a loop for a while too.

But I've come to trust the statement that says "Your message has been posted"

Back when this was freaking me out many months ago, I asked Steve about it, and I'm not sure if he knew the finer mechanics of how the software was working. To make sure that my posts were going up, I would ctrl+C the text I had written, just in case something wasn't working.

I get it now. But maybe I'll just stop posting there because after all everyone I like to chat with is here anyway (and the ones I don't aren't!). I CAN chat about Trek here can't I?
