I just thought I'd drop in and say hey. Not sure how I missed it, but this is my first time here. Been hanging around That Other Site for a few years, yet somehow, I hadn't heard of this one. Pity, I like it here.

[takes a gulp of air, realizes that he's empty, and orders another one]

Not that I dislike That Other Site, quite the opposite, especially lately. Been having simple fun in the 602 Club, thanks to Schpock.

Actually, "Schpock's Room" is where I first heard about this place. And then, tonight, I caught Ro's and Cymro's thread about new actors for TOS, and found his link to Brikar's poster here. So I looked in the windows, saw that it's a cool place with good spirits, and decided to drop in and see how comfy the barstools are.

[bounces up and down on the stool, spills some of his beer on himself, and curses]

Dammit. Now I really have to wash these jeans.

[holds up his glass and toasts the room]

Glad to be here.... I'll be happy to buy y'all a drink whenever you please. The electrons are free, after all.

This place was started in much the same way that Schpock's room was. We were bored, and there was a forum that wasn't being used. A bunch of us posted in there and we became friends.

IMO, TrekWeb needs a place where nothing is serious, because between Shore Leave and the Fire Caves, it's just so damn serious all the time. There needs to be more levity.

Please stick around and post frequently. We're a small board but I'm sure you'll recognize most of the names here.

Yeah, it's pretty cool... I reviewed the member list last night (no, wait, it was this AM... VERY AM) and recognized about 75% of them.

It's kind of like going to my 20-year High School reunion: I recognized most folks, and for the most part, they're still the same as they were 20 years ago. Rather frightening, actually.
