![]() | I just saw a commercial for the Lincoln Navigator which was using the music of Deep Purple's classic song 'Highway Star'. Civilization is clearly in the final days ![]() |

![]() | I love that song, and that commercial doesn't do justice to it. They show the navigator on a turntable, but I don't think they show it tearing down a stretch of highway looking cool or anything. It would be cool though if they had Ian Gillan smoking a doobie, with his left elbow hanging out the window and a fine babe in the passenger seat as twenty cop cars, which are losing ground, are chasing him in the navigator... THAT would make me want to buy the damn car. Instead, they just play a little of the song and then the announcer ruins everything. Dammit! I don't own very much music I like, I really need to get Deep Purple on CD again. |
