I have a friend of mine who is leaving next week to spend 6 months in Antartica for work.

At least it is the summer period so she will have round the clock light. I give her credit, I dont know if I could do it. Her only contact with the outside world would be internet, email and the occasional mail drop.

I told her she should make sure she has sex while she is there so that she can say to her grandkids:

"Hey, did you know your granny had sex on Antartica?" she found this hilarious. Go figure.

By the way, they are only allowed two showers per week. Hope if she does get lucky, she at least can shower shortly thereafter. I also advised her that in a pinch, pouring melted butter on ailments is a known remedy.

I told her about the Astrobar to see if she would join, she said she would check it out. Maybe she'll show up.

Possibly some of you Canadians and her can bond and give each other winter survival tips for the coming months

I think it would be cool if we had a patron who hailed from Anartica.
