Default Buying a new TV...

Thinking of getting a flat-screen LCD for the bedroom, probably about 32 inches since the room really isn't that large.

I was thinking of getting this Samsung model. I have a 10% off coupon for Best Buy, plus money from my recent birthday.

Thoughts?

Samsung - 32" 720p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV - LN32A330

I've always had good luck with Samsung displays.

The room is small, so it can't really handle a tv much larger than 32 inches, and getting a 32-inch 1080p TV is much more costly.

1080p is rather useless under about 40", anyway.

Personally, I like the Philips TVs. They're as good or better than sets like the Sonys that cost $400-$600 more for a slightly smaller size. Mine is a 47" with the Ambilight doohickey - Best Buy was clearing it out, and I convinced them to add some rewards coupons my parents had to the clearance deal.

I have a 61" Samsung DLP rear projection. I would not buy it again. Not because of reliability, just that I think there are crisper sharper pictures out there then rear projection could provide.

That's what I've read, about the 1080p, so I'm not concerned. Plus, this is low-end for my bedroom. Something for me to just have when I'm falling asleep or feeling anti-social. the living room will have the 60-inch monster.

I have a giant Samsung LCD too. The only issue I have with it is that NTSC Standard Def stuff just looks really shitty on it, but that's not the TV's fault.
