I promise to play nice and abide by all the rules. My posting privledges were suspended by the new Moderator over at TrekWeb -- so I have nowhere to hang.

I've certainly learned alot about netiquette in the last few weeks. I've learned alot of things about alot of things. And spent a lot of time apologizing for a lot of things.

Anyway, I'm turning a new leaf. I'm willing to spend more time talking about my experiences working on Star Trek and The Dead Zone for anybody who wants to know anything. My bio: http://hometown.aol.com/estillwell/eric.html

Absolutely not. Go back to TrekWeb, we don't want you here.

Kidding. Go to the bar and have a drink. It's on Lensman.

I had way too many Margaritas in Mexico over Labor Day weekend. My boss invited a bunch of the staff down to the enclave in Baja where he owns a house -- right on the beach! -- and I must have had 10 Margaritas on Saturday (in between the Mike's Hard Limonades!). I think I'll stay away from the bar for a while longer.

Eric! Very happy to see you! And by all means....booze up on me!
We tend to be pretty laid back here and prefer to just goof off rather than get into all the hot topic issues. I share your views on quite a few topics, so it was a bummer when you left TW.

Regardless of what happened at TW, *everyone* who comes here, does so with a clean slate. As I said, we're about having fun and enjoying ourselves.

(The Lensman orders another round for the house!)

It seems to be a little slow lately, but hopefully some new faces will kick things back up.

Nobody knows who the Moderator(s) at TrekWeb are -- except Steve Krutzler. The Moderators are supposed to be "anonymous".

I now have the unique distinction of being the first person ever suspended on the TrekWeb BBS. It wouldn't be so bad if the suspension wasn't invoked retroactive to the announcement of the new rules and procedures. But being suspended now is kinda like the government banning cirgarettes today and then going after people who quit smoking last month. I made my apologies and amended my behavior -- even dropped off the BBS for the most part during the past two weeks, then -- wham! -- this comes out of left field with no advance warning.

I guess I shouldn't blame Steve for appointing somebody else to do his dirty work. It would just be a whole different ball of wax if new rules were implemented and then sanctions imposed for future infractions rather than for behavior that occurred before the new rules & procedures were even announced.

Oh, well. Life goes on. This BBS seems a lot cooler anyway.

Firing someone, suspending someone, etc., are common actions to take when assuming a new position of authority. It lets people know you mean business.

That said, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to hang out here. Everyone should be given second chances, IMO. If you say you've learned your lesson, you certainly deserve an opportunity to demonstrate that.

Now if this isn't an excuse for a party I don't know what is! (he says as he calls up and orders some strippers - hey, Daxie's not here, so the mice can play! )

Welcome Eric!

Relax and have fun here. As a couple people have mentioned the expected behavior here is pretty straight forward.

On to other topics, I really didn't see exactly what go you banned from TrekWeb but I don't read alot of threads anyway. Too much religion & politics, especially coming from a Trek board.

Enjoy your stay... watch out for the Beaver, the lil fucker already took my tequila stash!
