Wave Buh-bye To This Forum Software

Hi all--

Well, DaxHost just can't get in. So, I'm going to replace this forum (again, I know...) with my back-up plan. However, I'm going to be gone for about a week, so I won't be able to work on anything until I get back. Unless anyone has any ideas for a different forum, I'm going to replace it with a variant on the phpBB forum that we used before.

The biggest problem I'm having is that I don't get any credit for the posts I'm putting up as 'guest'. I'm hoping that when Arik gets all this straightened out he'll tally up all the guests posts and add them to my count... I should be about pretty drunk by now.

I did actually go and try to create a new account, but it must be something in the webtv.

When I first come on to this site it reconizes me as 'DaxHost15', but when I come on to the fourms it says I'm an unregirstered user.

If anybody has any idea as to what's going on, please talk to Arik, I'm sure he would apreciate any advice.

Dax, what happens when you log into the forum page(theastrobar.com/forum)? Does it give you an error, log you in then log you out right away, or anything?

No, I don't get an error or anything. When I first come onto the homepage it says Welcome Dax or whatever and when I comeonto the forum it says I'm a guest. I've even tried to log in while on the forum page and it says I'm loged in as Dax, wait while we sed you back to the page blah blah blah, and when it goes back to the page it says I'm a guest again.

Something I did notice at the bottom of the page it says GZIP is disabled, could that have anything to do with it? (what's a gzip anyway?)

On the thing I e-mailed you with my web info, I noticed that it says gzip is enabled. I don't think there's anyway of enabling/disabling stuff on webtv. Just take it as it is.
