Happy Holidays

I just wanted to say happy holidays to you all -- my friends at The Astrobar.

Like some others on this board, 2003 presented many difficult challenges to me personally and I stumbled across this place at a time when things were pretty bleak for me. In many ways, this place rescued me from my grief and showed me that life goes on, no matter how bad you happen to be hurting at any given moment. Thanks for all the laughs, it truly was the best medicine for me.

I will be taking some time off to relax and spend some quality time with my daughter, Nicole. I may even take her to her first Star Trek convention (although I am still on the fence as to whether or not I should go). I will be back on 1/5/04 at my desk, well rested and ready to continue to peruse the internet with my usual reckless abandon.

So Arik, Cujo, Bean, Sirgets, Cymro (wherever you are), Daxie and the rest of the Astorbar members -- I want to extend my heartfelt wishes to you and those that are important to you at this special time of year and let you know that I hope each and every one of you has every wish come true.

Here's to a prosperous and healthy 2004 for all of us!!

Happy holidays everyone.

It's Christmas Eve and I actually have a fair amount of time on my hands for once.
It's funny, when I first started posting on TW, I had no money and lots of time on my hands, now I have money and no time for anything... Oh well, at least I'll be able to afford to have my body launched into space when I die. Now THAT's a cheery Christmas thought.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to see if they've started discounting Christmas trees yet.

Actually I decided to skip the whole Xmas thing in realtion to the bar, and instead get you all a New Year's Eve present

For one night only, the night of December 31st 2003 and continuing on until the last patron passes out, drinks at the world semi-famous Astrobar, home of the most dedicated virtual drinkers on the net, drinks will not be on the Lensman as is the normal custom. But instead will be on Bean. So drink up, enjoy yourselves, and try to make it last, cause this is the only time it'll ever happen
