No women, unless Daxie posts.

Like I posted earlier, there's going to be another member here, a virtual patron in the form of the Barkeep. If anyone's ever talked with an Alicebot, that's what it's like. If you haven't, you can follow the link, or AIM arikthegod666 (he's my robot). I've got The Barkeep running on my local machine, but there's something missing. He doesn't have any bartenderey things to say. So, I'm looking for some Bartender things to dump into his vast array of knowledge. Favorite drinks. Mixed drink recipies. Best ways to whack a guy. Gimme ideas, the most I know about bars are what I saw on Cheers.

I was going to install him the other night, but now I'm going to wait until after I upgrade the forum.

Did I hear someone mention upgrading the forum?

Invision Power Board is set to release their next generation forum software sometime within the next month. After that happens, I'm going to upgrade this forum. Why do I mention this? Mostly because it will render the current set of skins unusable (which is okay by me, I like this one, but I'm not emotionally invested in any of them. Oh yeah, and I hate my "Astro Bar" in the upper left corner fo anybody using the same skin as me). While I realize it's still a beta, they've had a working version on their site for a while. And, there are a lot of great new features that make it well worth upgrading (okay, so there are only a few great features, but there's one, multi-quote, which is really, really, really freaking cool). And, besides that, like Microsoft has taught us, software isn't software unless it has a couple bugs in it().

Most of the above paragraph is really only applicable unless I hear a wave of protest. But, multi-quote is really really really freaking cool.

The Beaver Den is moving along. It's slower than I would have hoped, but that's mainly because my life is getting in the way.

Lemme know if there's anything else I can do for you guys. No request is too small, nor too large.

Ok... not sure how to take that "unless Daxie posts" comment, but I hope the BarkeepBot is programmed better than that AliceBot.

The subject was "Of Bots & Boards & Broads & Bars", which I thought had a nice poetry to it, except for the fact that I was only talking about Bots, Boards, and Bars. No Broads, unless you count the mention of the Beaver Den.

So, there wouldn't be any women in the thread unless you posted.

It's not a matter of how it's programed. What really matters is how much information it can store. I'm going to goof around with it, so it probably won't have the general knowledge that Alice has. However, It'll probably have the kind of information we'll need him to have, in order to have fun with him.

Well there's a certain cool irony to all of this, Barkeep "joined" in Feb...I was born in Feb. Gotta say I love it!!

This is an extremely cool thing you're doing Vis! Can't wait to see it in action!
