| Cymro's Bitch | And it was quite a great experience. My first stop was in London. It was incredible, though trying to be polite with people in the tubes was an exercise in futility. Westminster Abbey is the most beautiful buidling I've ever seen. My favorite part of the experience was our tour guide, though. "And to your left, you'll see a build - QUEEN! THERE'S THE QUEEN OVER THERE!" So funny. After London came Paris, a remarkably clean city. The people were very polite, though that's probably because I attempted their language. I discovered that all American stereotypes about the French are wrong. The sites were incredible. From gazing at the city from atop the Eiffel Tower to wondering what it was that the Arc de Triomph celebrates, I loved every bit of that city. We went from Paris to Champery, Switzerland, where I consumed massive amounts of chocolate and bought a pocket knife. Champery is officially the most beautiful village in the world. A small town of 500 people, it was quiet an relaxing, a welcome change from the big cities. The scenery was absolutely incredible. We spent a day in Zermatt near the Matterhorn, where I had my first experience with a European McDonald's. It was a hell of a lot better than its American counterpart. After Switzerland, we headed to Vaduz, Liechtenstien, more so we could say we've been to Liechtenstien than anything else. We spent an hour and a half there. After Vaduz, we went to Inssbruck, Austria, which wasn't as enjoyable as Champery, but it was an all right little town. We headed to Venice for a day, were I marveled at the dirtiness of the canals and the raw sewage smell of the sinking city. The food was excellent, though, and I proceeded to eat my dinner and the dinners of three other people in my little group. Our final stop was Rothenburg, Germany, a walled mideival city. Absolutely beautiful. Walking the streets was incredible. Everything was so old. I ate a lot of ice cream here. After Rothenburg, we came home...and I discovered how much of a bitch customs is.
