I'm posting it. I'll refrain from commenting (although, given the tone of what little political discussion has gone on here, most of you would probably be correct to assume that I agree with you).

Wow, creative people.

BAH!!

As a former serviceman, US Navy, I can only say that when you are in the service, you know you can be put in harms way at any time. We have a volunteer service, not a draft and so everyone of those individuals knew the risk.

So I feel sorry for them and there families -- absolutely, 100%. Do I think the war in Iraq is a right or just war. Honestly, I think that is one for the history books to tell. The reason that we are sustaining casualties is that the war is being fought with a wary eye on public opinion and NOT to win the war, there is too much worry about "what will people think if we accidentally kill a civilian?" Fuck 'em, they were cheering in the streets when 3000 civilians were killed on 9/11. If you think that the so called militias are Iraqi civilians who are rising up, don;t believe it. These people are funded and armed by the Iranian Shiite clerics, the Syrians and whatever the Al-Qaeda cell in Iraq is calling itself. I'd rather take the hurt to those people then have it come here and hurt my friends or family. Does that make me some sort of neanderthal? So be it.

Will I vote for Bush, yeah. Why? Not because he is so great, God knows, he is no where near good, but honestly because that douche-bag Kerry fucking scares me. He is not fit to command a troop of girl scouts let alone lead the country. If he ever comes up with an original idea, it would be his first. I can't believe this socialist is who my party (YES, I am a Democrat) would trot out as the nominee. He is no more a hero then Cindy Brady.

BAH!!!

Democracy could acctually do with a little less generalising in my opinion. Rather than voting for parties to decide everything, we could vote for parties to take over specific divisions of government. This would mean that the people do not have to settle for candidates who are strong on some policies and weaker with others.

I feel the same way. People are boo-hooing about these "innocent" people being killed, but let's face it, they have so little regaurd for their own families that they strap bombs on their own children and send them in to a public place to blow it up as easily as you or I would give our children some money to go see a movie, it's like it's no big deal to them.

These are also the same people who beat their wives (and allow other men to beat their wives) because her veil slipped showing a fraction of an inch of her face.

As far as the Iraqies celebrating 9/11, I've heard people saying "they had to, they were scared that if they didn't act happy their military would kill them" BULL!

Where I used to live when 9/11 happened, there were Arabs that lived in the apartment next door to me. I never paid too much attention to them, they were quiet people, I'd smile and say 'hi' as I walked past them in the hall and they said 'hi' back, but that was all we would ever speak to eachother.

They day of 9/11, after the second tower was hit, they suddenly started blasting their stero (I didn't know they even had one, never heard it before) and carring on and parting. This went on 24 hours a day for a month! They were right here in this country... I really doubt that they were scared of being killed if they didn't "act" happy.

The Iraqi people don't care that 3.000 people died that day. They don't care that some of them were children. They don't care that these people were men and women who have nothing to do with the government or the running of this country.

and I'd just like to add one more rant then I'm done. When our military takes one of theirs as a prisoner, we're kind enough to give them food and water, paint arrows on the floor so they know which way to face when they pray and how do they treat prisoners from our military in return? They're beaten, raped, starved, deficated on, told that they will never see their families again and physcialy, mentaly and emotionaly tortured.

We should feel sorry for these people ..why?

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm mac and cheese in a box...yum.

OK, just want to make a tally here--

We've had that certain O. person here as a member
We've had an O-person style rant (mine)
We had someone with two user names (me)
We are now having a political discussion.

Is the AB slowly turning into TW

Arik, your middle name isn't Steve, is it?

Oh yeah, I had an idea--

Cymro's sig over at TW says:

"When masterbation gets old, you go to TW."

I say:

"Before you're done masterbating, go to the AB!!"

Well, anyone want to make that our official slogan? It's kind of catchy, don't you think?
