Here's what's going on.

My webhost has been pissing me off for a while now, but lately they've instituted policies that I absolutely hate.

So I'm moving. And, since I don't want to pay two places to host web sites (especially since my new host has such nice hardware), the Astrobar is moving.

I had initially intended to take it down and move it tonight, letting the DNS propegate over the weekend, so most of you could find it on Monday. This is where the idiot in me took over.

I was registering another domain yesterday, and since I was at GoDaddy, I decided to transfer the domains that I held through my soon to be former web host. I mean, I was there, and I was paying them. What could the harm be, right?

Bah. You can't update nameservers on domains that are transfering registrars. So, I can't point the bar's domain to the new place until that transfer takes place. Which, since I've jumped through all the hoops, should be fairly soon.

Hopefully.

Tomorrow, if I'm lucky.

So, the announcement at the top of the forums will change when I know more.

2. Here are the key points:

a. I'm switching webhosts.
b. Because of the way the internet works, the site will be down for between 24-72 hours while I make the change.
c. I originally elected to make the move last weekend. However, because ICANN is staffed by Nazi Communist bastards, and also because I screwed up, I was unable to make the necessary changes.
d. I will be able to make the changes this weekend. So, the site will be down for most of you most of the weekend.

Oh Hang on I'm going out on Friday to a barbecue so I'll be too hungover to post on saturday. Now that I know that the Astrobar will be down sunday as well, I'll make sure I drink enough so that I won't be able to stare at a computer screen again until monday.
