 |  Spyware problems, can anyone help? My girlfriend's computer is having issues with spyware that I can't seem to resolve, specifically, browser hijackings. She's got Spybot and Ad-Aware, which seem to do OK for a couple days, and then everything comes back. I just don't know enough about the problem to fix it, and she's getting really frustrated. Anyone have suggestions? I've got Hijackthis! but I don't really know how to use it effectively.

 | I've got the same issue on my home computer. Mine is "prosearching" or some such crap. Go to google and enter the prosearching (using my example) and there are a number of sites that come up that will tell you what to delete out.

| Except Internet explorer no longer functions... I'm dreading having to reinstall windows or some silly thing.

 | Go to AdAware's website http://www.lavasoft.de and look for their "deep scan" method. It will remove any of the tough spyware hiding on the system.
