   |  Greetings to you all -- I have walked into the bar and I see some familiar people around here. After lurking about, I have decided to come in and quench my thirst. You seem like a tight group and not knowing how I will be greeted, I am maintaining my distance to get a feel for the place. In the meantime, can the mysterious newcomer get a drink? Jack and coke please!

If you're familiar with us, then you've probably been to Trekweb and spent some time there. We pretty much welcome everyone with a clean slate, regardless of whatever differences we had at Trekweb. There are a few here that I wasn't originally fond of at TW's Central Board. But the laid back atmosphere is such that we all got to know each other, free from the hot button issues that permeate that place, and have become friends. I can't imagine the place without all of the people here now. And to be honest, I feel that each poster contributes a unique voice to the AB, that gives it flavor and makes it a stronger community for it. Quote:

| Damn, another day where I've woken up in a bar. Thanks for the freebies Lensman. To those who have asked, yes, I was and am a TrekWeb member. I found this place by clicking on Cujo's link in his new TW sig (you never know what kind of crowd you will attract with that sort of general advertising). I really love the Asto Bar!! I am still feeling my way around but a tip of the cap to you all, this is a great place. Now I will go by Stag here (a reference to my employer), on TW you know me as (hood being pulled back) -- Mattman65. So, a big shout out to Lensman, Deslok, The Real Doc McCoy, iamspen, Cujo, and the rest of you who I recognize. By the way, anyone got an aspirin or keep pouring, one way or the other, I got to start to feel better? Peace!
