| It's me again | I know these were recalled, but I found one at Borders so I bought it. I was watching the special features last night and they had an interview with Michael Dorn who played Worf which was done around the time of the movie release. Pretty much the usual blah blah blah. However, he said that he had a two hour meeting with Braga, Berman and Ron Moore before Generations started shooting. He wanted to discuss the scene where Worf falls in the water after grabbing the hat in the promotion ceremony. Worf was concerned about any scene that made Worf look foolish. Dorn stated he was protective of the character and did not find the scene funny. B&B said it was funny and he would do it, Dorn said he wouldn't. He said the meeting was literally two hours of back and forth like this until at the end he was told he was doing it and that was that. So he did it. The interesting thing is that recently I have heard Dorn say he was tired of playing Worf contrasting statements he made years ago about how he loved playing the character. Considering this interview and the clown they turned Worf into in subsequent movies, I can now understand his position.

| It's me again | Yes, but it is in a rough stage. Sort of like the Nemesis DVD deleted scenes. I liked it though and I thought it would work. The scene was intercut with the spinning champagne bottle. The last line talking about the ENT-B ceremony to be held the next day, Kirk says ... "When I retired, I swore I would never set foot on another starship. I AM NOT GOING". Next scene is the champagne bottle breaking against the Ent-B (end of deleted cut) and presumably the lift doors opening on the bridge of the B showing Kirk's face. I think this would have worked better. They also had the alternate, original ending which showed Kirk's rock climbing skills similar to ST:V, which I thought was a nice gesture to continuity.
