Sky Captain... I loved it. It's a no brainer popcorn flick, with great visuals. The only complaints I have are that at times it's a bit blurry and too dark. Other than that, it has an Idiana Jones vibe to it. I love retro futurisitc art, so I planned on buying it on DVD regardless of the story. My friends that went with me didn't like it, and I had to keep reminding them that the movie was meant to be an old fashioned movie done with todays FX and they had to keep that it mind for the movie to work. I'm not sure what they expected going in, but it was everything I expected it to be. Not the greatest flick in the world, but very enjoyable. As I said, it's a no brainer pop corn flick, that's a great ride. Don't look for any deep meaning to the movie, or Oscar winning performances, both are absent. Just go in looking for an hour and a half of pure escapist fun, and I think you'll enjoy it.
I want a ray gun just like Dexs'. And giant robots rule!!
