| The Awesome One | So I woked late lastnight. I worked till 1am. And when I got home, i dickered around online for a few minutes, and went to bed. The whole time I had forgotten that the new ep of Ent was out. Our local station here runs the new eps 2 times on fridays. We get it at 8, and 3am. So anyways, I forgot about it and only realized my mistake a few minutes ago. So I hopped online and started to look for a suitable torrent. I was expecting to have to wait all afternoon for it now, well, I just started the torrent, and it should be done in a few mins It's running at 370kb/sec ![]() Just thought I'd share that happy tale witht those of you who also appreciate the benefits of Torrents on a high speed connection. Ooops, look at that, it's done... Gotta go ![]()

| Religious Fanatic | Yeah, I generally find that the older a torrent is the longer it takes to get, which is the main disadvantage of BT compared to more traditional filesharing nets.

| The Awesome One | Oh yeah, I agree. The advantage is however that with Bit Torrent, you do get those first few days when the torrent is running at retarded speeds, whereas a traditional P2P system runs at the same speed no matter how new it is. I downloaded the PC version of KOTOR 2 the second day it was out. The file is about 4 GB, I got it in about 4 hours. ![]()

![]() | I wish my torrents would go that fast. Though "Affliction" is running at 50kb, it's the fastest I've seen this thing go.
