Default "Superman Returns" video blog

This is the first thing I've seen that actually gets me jazzed to see this movie.

Really? I'm looking forward to it, I'm a HUGE Superman fan, but that video really kinda bored me....

Previously, I hadn't been that impressed by the casting. What I'd heard about the storyline of the film didn't really get me jazzed at all. I love the original movie with Reeve and Hackman and Kidder, and it just didn't seem like this one would have the magic that they were obviously trying to recapture from that.

But the more I watch these "blog" videos, the more I'm thinking that this will probably shape up into a damn good movie. Especially this one, where the two writers describe that moment for Superman where he listens to all the trouble in the world. The JJ Abrams draft of the movie sounded cool, but for all itnents and purposes wasn't really a Superman movie. It was a generic superhero flick with elements of Superman thrown in. But the ONE thing that impressed me about it was a single scene in which Superman flew to a mountain top and listened to people crying for help all across the world. For me, hearing that that one moment will still be in this script really gets me jazzed that we're getting a REAL Superman movie again after so long... Just like I was so excited that "Batman Begins" is a REAL Batman movie after "Batman and Robin" and watering down the animated franchise.
