Default The end of Nintendo?

Maybe, if they release this thing:

It's about time nintendo threw in the towel for consoles, I don't know anyone with a gamecube, and I doubt anyone's going to buy this thing.

I don't think it's over just for consoles though. How bad of an ass kicking do you think the PSP is gonna deliver to Gameboy? And honestly, how long before we get an Xbox brand handheld...

As long as people love their big screens and booming surround systems, hand-helds will never surpass them.

And we wonder why companies rarely try anything new. People always piss all over anything weird.

Let's try it before we knock it.

I'm fine with weird. But how am I supposed to play games with my DVD remote? The Gamecube took hits because Nintendo refused to put out a product that appealed to what the consumers wanted.

You misunderstand. What I mean is, that even with the failure of the Gamecube, the Gameboy was and still is a major success for Nintendo, and even if this new system fails miserably, Gameboy could still keep Nintendo alive as a viable player in the industry. Now that the PSP has been released, they've lost that as well.

Actually, it looks interesting. I don't see any reason to complain about it. With console controllers becoming so unweildily, this actually looks easy to use. Plus, it's one handed, so a person could sip a cool beverage while splattering zombie guts.

I own a gamecube. It's the only current generation console that I own. Sold off my PS2 because the games sucked so bad, and I was never interested in the X-box.
