| The Awesome One | To continue what I was saying in the shoutbox. I think out of all the TNG movies, Generations is the second best behind First Contact. It was the first (and last) time we saw the Enterprise D the way we were supposed to. It looked massive, and gave you that feeling of being a "small mobile space city". I really enjoyed the movie in general. Now yes, they wasted alot of potential. I wanted so badly for Kirk to SEE the Enterprise D. Kind of a need to have him realize what kind of a legacy he was part of/started. And his death was pointless. Although I think his final scene was as well done as you could expect given the storyline, it was still a pointless death. Still, I rewatch Generations at least once a month, and that says alot cause I haven't watched Khan in about 4 months. Thoughts?

| Religious Fanatic | I hadn't watched it in years until recently because I lost the tape, but yeah, I really liked it. I've watched STII way more though, I'm pretty close to knowing every line off my heart. The problem with Generations was that the storyline wasn't all that compelling - but there was a lot of good stuff in it, I loved the Kirk-Picard exchanges, the battle didn't at all seem forced, there was some good character work in there, and it still felt like TNG rather than a cheap action flick. The score is just excellent, very unique, it sounded unfamiliar, had a touch of weird to it, majestic, and always keeps with the mood. The other good thing was that it had a theme, something for you to think about. Batman Begins had justice, STIV was about the Environment, STVI had prejudice and moving on. Generations was about making a difference. I've got a story for Picard's entry into politics that revolves around that very theme. Picard realises that perhaps the Captain's chair isn't the only place he can make a difference. I also want to have the Q courtroom in it somewhere (how could you say goodbye to TNG without Q?).

| Astro-Monkey | Generations is the only Next Gen movie that I'll watch for fun. Sure, there was a lot of wasted potential, but most of it was fun. And, it felt like a Star Trek movie, unlike the movies that came after it.

To go a little further on that note, it didn't just feel like a Trek movie, it felt like a TNG movie. Whereas all the subsequent movies were completley focused on Picard and Data, this one at least USED the whole cast as more than dignified extras.

| Cymro's Bitch | I never understood peoples' disgust with Generations. I thought it was well-directed and the character development was genuine and good. I know there were a few plotholes and a rather cookie-cutter villain, but I forgave that because the character interactions kept me intrigued.
