![]() ![]() View Edit History: | "In response to overwhelming demand, Lucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release attractively priced individual two-disc releases of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Each release includes the 2004 digitally remastered version of the movie and, as bonus material, the theatrical edition of the film. That means you'll be able to enjoy Star Wars as it first appeared in 1977, Empire in 1980, and Jedi in 1983." Cha-CHING!! Cha-CHINGG!!! Gee...I guess Lucas IS a lying, back-peddling, money-grubbing, greedy cunt with big dollar sign$ in his eyes, and not the bastion, dare I ever say SAVIOUR of humanity that I preached long and hard to others about (***smothered in heavy sarcasm***): http://www.starwars.com/episode-iv/r...s20060503.html

| "It's a faaaake!" | This is hilarious: First people bitch because Lucas didn't release the originals on DVD, and now, they're bitching that he is.

![]() | I'm sad that the films will only be available with the SE versions, which I already have, and that they're not putting any effort into a 5.1 Surround sound mix. The surround mixes on the SE versions are (at least to my ears) really great and really give added OOMPH to all the fantastic action sequences. I can't help but feel that this is some kind of "pity" release that they're not putting any real effort into, despite "overwhelming demand".

| The Awesome One | Not only that, but the original scene really spoke of Hans character. He's supposed to be a hardened criminal, the rough and tough type. Shooting first was a really good way to establish that. Not to mention it was just downright cool...

![]() | If only it stopped with character assassination... but it doesn't. The effects work done to make Greedo shoot first (and then later to merely give him bad aim) are awful.

![]() | I will give them this: the remade Death Star fight was really well done. I remember in the original, there were some shots that just didn't seem right, but in the remade one, they flowed really well.
