| Astro-Monkey | For those of you who don't instantly hate it because of who they cast as James Bond... http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/casinoroyale/site/

| Religious Fanatic | They could cast Will Smith as James Bond and it wouldn't effect my enjoyment of the movie, assuming Smith gave a decent performance.

| Senior Member | I went to watch the trailer, but I got prompted to install a medial player. Ever since the Sony BMG rootkit fiasco, I'm paranoid about installing anything from Sony, including some kind of nonstandard media player over the web. Just use Windows Media Player or Quicktime, and be done with it.

![]() | It's the same trailer that's been up on apple.com since about May. I'm really looking forward to this movie... they've been hyping it up as "Batman Begins" for James Bond, and I'm really hoping it lives up to that.

![]() | Brik, thanks for the tip. Just saw it. Looks pretty cool... they certainly seem to be promoting it as a reboot ("I knew it was too soon to promote you").

![]() | Yeah, you really can't say that there's the same kind of 'continuity' like you can with Trek. Bond plays fast and loose with details and timeframes, and I really don't mind at all. Some of the fans have tried to put forth ridiculous theories like that Bond is really different men and that "James Bond" is a codename... but I'd really rather just enjoy the movies and not be bothered by stupid things like how Bond should be something like 75 years old by now. It's really not important. But "Batman Begins" does seem like an apt description, and "reboot" in this sense is really just that they're going back to the first mission and changing the tone of the series.
