| The Awesome One | Wow.. talk about underwhelming. Like I said last episode, it seems that Atlantis is starting to take a walk down retread lane. As in plot devices. *Minor Spoilers* Ok, so here we are, the third episode this season to use a tired out plot device. Let's see.. Hero wakes up in an "alternate reality" that turns out to be an illusion perpetrated by the enemy? Check. Episode that fleshes out our main villain by begrudgingly making them allies with our hero? Check. (Although in honesty I liked this one) And this week.. Heroes come across evidence that a group of their own killed each other violently and soon the same starts to happen to them? Check. Like I said above, the plot in the episode with Shepard and the Wraith is a tired cliche of a story, but it was done masterfully and I really enjoyed it. The other two though, including this weeks were just awful. The entire episode this week I found myself waiting for the end of it so I could move onto the latest SG1. I appreciate that they used the episode to flesh out Shepard a little more, but there's much more creative ways to do that. Just look at 3x08. We get all kinds of development with Rodney, and there's no fucking flashbacks or anything of thge sort involved. Anyway.. hated 3x09. It was lame, boring and unimaginative.

| The Awesome One | Ok, so furthermore, I just watched SG1 3x09 and it was pretty decent. Although if this really is the final season I'm not sure why they're opening up such a potentially large story arc instead of dealing with the current ones.

![]() | By the time they got the word they were cancelled, they probably had only 3 or 4 left. As for the episodes themselves, I enjoyed SG-1 more than Atlantis. The only thing I really thought was worthwhile in the Atlantis episode was the way Shepard's hallucinations were set up, and the bit close to the end with Rodney's hallucination. SG-1, I definitely liked when Teal'c grabbed Mitchell. "I am getting tired of being tortured, Mitchell!" The rest of the episode was alright enough, nothing amazing - though killing off the Odyssey captain was a surprise.

| The Awesome One | Oh absolutley. I enjoyed SG1. Killing off the Odyssey captain was a pretty good one. I didn see it coming from the moment they took him from the hold, but it was still pretty good. And Teal'c grabbing Mitchell honestley took me completley off guard. It was really good as well. As for Atlantis... The Rodney hallucination was predictable. The very first time he said something about the power surging when it shouldn't be, I knew right then that he was hallucinating. The only one that took me off guard was the Doc talking to a dead guy. Other than that moment, when we realize that the Sgt was dead, the episode sucked ass.

| The Awesome One | So I would imagine that with news of the cancellation they're probably revisiting all of the unfilmed scripts and maybe adjusting them or scrapping some entirely to fit in with a final season.
