| Astro-Monkey | What new shows have you been watching? I want to watch Heroes, but I can't actually bring myself to turn it on. The Sports Night/The West Wing fan in me loves Studio 60. Jericho looked interesting, but for whatever reason I won't watch it. Maybe I'm crazy. I still haven't seen an episode of Lost. So, what new shows do you enjoy?

![]() | The only new show I've gotten into this season is "Jericho", which has just been picked up for a full 22-episode order. I haven't seen "Heroes," but I constantly hear good things about it. Several of my friends have gotten into "Justice" on Fox, but I haven't checked that one out yet.

| The Awesome One | I swear, I was gonna start this same thread yesterday lol. Let's see... Not all of these are new shows, but this is the entire list of what I'm watching regularly. Jericho Heroes - It's worth watching Arik, but keep in mind that like alot of new shows it's fairly heavily serialized. BSG - Of course.. The 4400 Studio 60 Lost - If you haven't watched it by now, there's little point in starting though. Unless you go out and get the first two seasons on DVD or download em. Stargate Atlantis Stargate SG1 Robin Hood - This is the BBC take on the classic story. So far it's turned out to be pretty crappy acting... but it's good for a laugh when I'm drinking my morning coffee.. EDIT: Oops, I forgot about my dirty little secret... Law and Order SVU.

![]() | Of all the "Law and Order" shows, I find "SVU" to be the one I watch the most.

![]() | Unfortunately, I have the cheapest cable package available, which means that I don't get Cartoon Network or Sci-Fi. On CN though, I like Inuyasha and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Sealab is fuckin' hilarious too. I watch Studio 60 and the various Law & Order series. My tendency is to watch HOW the production values are implemented rather than just being able to sit back and be entertained though. Law & Order seems to be reaching for more sensationalistic material lately. If you look back on the series roots, you'll see that it was much more of a straghtforward drama. I've been watching Heroes, it's good, but it's kind of a cross between a soap opera and a comic book. I find it entertaining. I expected the worst and was pleasantly surprised by what I saw, and it keeps getting better and more involved. Crossing Jordan and Las Vegas if I have the time or opportunity. And Bean makes an interesting observation regarding the heavy serialization of the new crop of shows. I wonder if this is a good thing. I like the serialization aspect, but I don't want to have to keep up to date with too many shows to know what's going on. My time is limited, and I tend to split my attention between work and my girl. She watches Gray's Anatomy, I still haven't seen an episode. In fact, every woman I know who watches tv watches Gray's Anatomy. I'm afraid to watch it for fear that it will shrink my testicles. On another note, they really need to remove Deal or no Deal from television, or at least find a regular timeslot for it. |

| The Awesome One | As for the serialization thing, I'm loving it, it's perfect for me and nearly every show I watch is pretty heavily serialized. That being said of course, I'm currently on unemployment insurance and have ample time to indulge in all of these storylines. Now next June when my benefits run out I may have to reevaluate my choices. lol. Of course, I'm watching Law and Order SVU quite a bit, and despite some minor plotlines that are running throughout the show, you can definitely watch and episode every now and then and get the same experience of someone who watches weekly.

| Religious Fanatic | BSG and South Park are the only shows I download when I come home.
