Firefly, the concept that would not die.

Multiverse is moving forward with a Firefly/Serenity MMORPG which could prove to be not only interesting but succesful.

I'll be buying it when it's available.

Yeah, but honestly is it going to provide the same sort of feeling as any other MMO, or will they do something to distinguish it. I cannot see it being that much different then any of the others out there. In so doing, the magic that makes Firefly/Serenity so appealing will likely be lost in translation.

I can't get into this online games. Nor can I sign on to the concept of buying a game, and then continuing to pay in order to play it. If it's free, maybe I'll give it a go. But otherwise... pass.

AAAGH! You've pissed in my cornflakes! But you're right about the continuing to pay stuff. My zeal for this game has evaporated. I think that only if I can play it as a standalone game or over a broadband connections with a friend, would I consider purchasing this game. I do like RPGs though. I like them so much that I just bought a used copy of Dungeons & Dragons "Eye of the Beholder" for my Game Boy Advance to while away the boredom at work.

I'm pretty cold on most RPGs, as well. When I want to play a game, I want to actually play it, not spend 40 hours scrolling through menus with the occasional pretty video interlude. If I want to scroll through menus, that's what I have Windows for.
