Default "Jericho" returns (spoilers)

So we finally find out what Jake's been up to for a while... sorta.

And we finally find out what Hawkins' deal is... sorta.

Despite not learning as much as I'd wanted, I think this was still one of the most interesting episodes so far. We still don't know exactly what Hawkins is part of, though it's clear that he got into something that he ultimately couldn't participate in. It was interesting to see that he'd outright kidnapped his family, whereas I thought he'd simply gone and begged them to get out of the city with him - but they're essentially as in the dark as we viewers are.

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty good episode too. Although I was a little suprised to find out that Jakes past involved some really shady things. I had always figured that his references to the army and then the navy was kind of a hint that he was some kind of special forces. Oh well, doesn't really detract from it for me.

The developments with Hawkins fits in perfectly with an earlier theory I had. I figure that Hawkins was FBI, or CIA or something legit, and he was investigating the group that was ultimatley responsible for the bombs when he found out about it there was no way for him to stop it so he took his family and ran.

I'm thinking that the woman he was shacked up with was a coworker who was also infiltrating the group, thus her being taken as a hostage. Of couse, we finally have confirmation now that the large barrel Hawkins cemented into his basement is a bomb, I just never thought it was an actual nuke. Kinda creepy to think that there's a nuclear bomb in a basement in Jericho.

And the appearance of Sarah? at the end in the bar was completley predictable, as was the appearance of Roger. I knew from the beginning of the episode that they would show up in Jericho by the end. It seems to be the only reason for having hem in the flashbacks to begin with.

Didn't Roger show up at the end of the previous episode?

I don't remember. Maybe you're right. Still, Hawkins pal was still predictable.

On that note, how long do you think before Hawkins "see you soon" associates show up. I seriously doubt that the woman is one of em. Probably just a coincidence.

I was kinda thinking she was one of them, to be honest. It would seem like more of a coincidence for her to show up just when they say "See you soon", even though we saw her getting all kidnapped or whatever on the video chat (which would mean the chat was a setup).

Could go either way, if you ask me.

I can't seem to get last week's episode... it was OnDemand for a day, but when I tried to watch it, all I got was a promo for some cooking show and then it dumped me back to the menu, and it hasn't been back.

Last night's "Battlestar Galactica" still isn't up, either.

Last weeks Jericho was pretty good. Jake, his dad, the teacher girl, and Dale all leave town in search of parts for a windmill. They visit a fair ground that has been transformed into a pretty rough "flea market". I won't spoil any of the details for you, but we get some pretty specific information about the state of affairs in the US post explosions.

Galactica I'm divided on. On the one hand it had a major plot change at the end. And I do mean MAJOR. On the other hand, that's all I can really say abbout the episode.

I got home in time for the last twenty minutes of BSG. But I need to see the rest!
