| Religious Fanatic | So, got this yesterday. Great game. It's not going to revolutionize the gaming industry as some have said it would, mainly because it's sort of a one of a kind game that should stay that way and not start it's own "genre", but it is thoroughly enjoyable. Since it's made by Valve, it's obviously A) In the first person perspective and B) Based on the Source Engine, and it's essentially a puzzle game set in the Half Life universe, where you solve navigational puzzles by using portals that you create by shooting your "Portal Gun" at different surfaces. It's not exactly thrilling - but that's a refreshing change for me. It's nice to be able to play a game where I'm not feeling like I'm seconds away from having a heart attack all the time I'm playing, and I can just use my mind rather than my reflexes or dexterity to play. It sort of reminds me of those old Star Trek PC games like "A Final Unity", actually. So, it's recommended, and it should be able to run quite smoothly on a low end machine, because Valve are still using textures and models that look like they belong in a PS2 game, and there aren't any massive outdoor scenes to render.
