![]() | Seems like a potentially good movie season coming up. We've Speed Racer, Hulk, Iron Man, Batman, Hancock Was Here, Prince Caspian, (I think) Indiana Jones and a few others I can't think of at the moment. I have to say I'm pretty excited for all of them, with Batman, Hancock, and Speed Racer being the tops. Batman? Nuff said. Hancock Was Here? Cool concept and FX. Speed Racer? First preview I saw I was like "WTF?" but the FX have been better in later trailers, and I get that its a movie heavy on the visual "style".....like Sky Captain was. I hope the new Indy movie doesn't suck, but IMO, Raiders was the best, with the other two being less good in the order they were produced. Could care less if I never see Temple of Doom and I can't even remember what the third one was called. Only part I liked about 3 was the airship.

| It's me again | Ironman, Batman and from what I have heard so far - Hulk 2. Although, Ironman has the chance to be Daredevil bad. Indy will rock, if it stays true to the concept. It will be interesting to see after so much time if the 'mojo' is still there for this type of escapist film. If so, I am pushing for a Remo Williams remake. Hancock will make money because of the star power, but honestly, I am indifferent. As an old school Speed Racer fan, I have no desire what so ever to see the movie.

| The Awesome One | I've never been a Speed Racer fan and as such probably won't ever see the movie. It just doesn't look like it holds any interest for me whatsoever. Batman of course. Hell, I'm stoked to see the new trailer in a few weeks. I don't agree with you at all Stag about Iron Man having Daredevil potential. From all the trailers and clips I've seen, this movie is going to be at least AS big as Spiderman was. Probably more so. it looks like a kick ass movie. The only thing that puts Batman ahead of it for me is the Joker. Hancock looks like it'll be funny as hell, but that's about it. It doesn't look like something I'm gonna want to pay to see unlike Batman and Iron Man. The Incredible Hulk.. well I'm still soured on the franchise after that horrid first movie. I'll give it a chance, because it looks like they're trying to distance themselves from that crapfest as much as they can, but I'm not holding out hope.

![]() | It took me awhile to warm up to Speed Racer. Like Stag, I used to watch it as a kid. Since we lived outside a city in the pre-cable days, and SR was on a UHF channel, it was a chore most times watching it with all the T.V. snow. So it when we could get a good signal, it was always a special thing. The first trailer had me thinking "they fucked it up".....and maybe they will. But I'm seeing tons of nods to the show, certain camera angles, the way the bad guy talks, one of the announcers, Speed even goes "aaAAh" once! Basically they're going for the "live action cartoon" because really...what else could you do with a concept like Speed Racer? The only part I don't like is the sword fighting wheels. That part is retarded. So far Iron Man looks to be, as Bean said, a great flick. Far above the DD level. Hulk? Looks a lot better than the first, but I don't like the new look of the Hulk. I actually prefered the Hulk from the first movie. They should've just tweaked him a little in terms of taking advantage of the recent upgrades.

| Senior Member | ALL of them. It's rare I ever want to see more than one or two movies a year (and that doesn't necessarily mean I go see them), now there's three or four I want to see this summer alone.

| Cymro's Bitch | Originality in cinema has been extremely lacking over the last decade, but there have been several recent movies that really proved that people care about quality. Cloverfield and Juno both come to mind, and the summer movie season is looking better and better, though I think I could do without Speed Racer and Iron Man (blasphemy, I know, but I don't think it's going to translate well into a movie).

| Astro-Monkey | Batman, Iron Man, Hulk, Indy, and... ...I'm really curious about Get Smart. Yeah, this summer looks better than most recent ones. It's kinda sad that all the movies I want to see are based on something/part of a franchise.

| The Awesome One | Good call Arik, I forgot about Get Smart. I remember watching reruns of that when I was a kid. I loved the show. The only question is wether it will turn out to be another Carel flop ala Evan Almighty, or a great remake of a classic franchise. From the looks of the teaser though, it may turn out pretty good.
