Jeff Goldblum is set to take his place on the show, joining Vincent D'Onofrio as a co-lead, the showbiz trade papers report. "Criminal Intent's" eighth season is scheduled to premiere later this year.

| Re: Noth exits Criminal Intent...Jeff Goldblum is in Yeah, I used to enjoy SVU, but then I realized that half the episodes they aired, they were just using some kind of shock value to hide the fact that they didn't have an actual story. The announcer basically tells you as much in the preview. "Next week on the most shocking episode of SVU yet...Ripped from the headlines the detectives find some sick fuck, Stabler wants to beat the crap out of him, and Benson feels for the victim. But, look out for the Law & Order twist that you won't see coming...because it doesn't make any sense!" I actually like D'onofrio. He's not really like any other character on television.
