1x29 - "Operation -- Annihilate!" - This is a pretty good episode, a nice way to finish off the season. Though some of the production is a bit cheesy, it's quite well-written. The big three work well with each other to solve the mystery, and there's good emotional heft with the loss of Kirk's brother and Spock's bout with blindness. CG enhancements are few, but well done - at the episode's climax, the Enterprise seeds a series of cool UV satellites. Visually, the episode is solid all around with excellent detail and only a few scenes of distracting grain.
