| Astro-Monkey | Tivo thought I might like Smallville, so it recorded the season premiere. I had a case of insomnia last night, so I actually sat down and watched it. I wondered where they had taken that show...turned out it hasn't gone very far. Clark lost faith and abandoned humanity...again. Then a tragic event makes him realize he can't just leave humanity, and he comes back. It's been a while for me...but wasn't that the general storyline for EVERY season finale/premiere they did?

![]() | Easily one of the worst shows on television. How they've made it to nine seasons pulling the same bullshit over and over, I'll never know. "Heroes" is headed in the same direction.

| Astro-Monkey | Imagine what a Superman movie would be like if it was based off of Smallville...every time something bad happened to Clark, he'd run away and mope in his fortress of solitude.

![]() | I did enjoy the first two seasons... and season 2 ended on a pretty high note. But the Season 3 premiere and practically everything that came afterward was laughably bad. I've rarely seen a show take such a huge dip in quality so fast.

| The Awesome One | It seems to me that the first season (and second to a lesser degree) were a little more structured and restrained in developing Clark into a hero. Unfortunately once they opened the box on his powers and the mythos they couldn't seem to restrain themselves and started throwing out anything they could to get the fanboy demographic.

| Astro-Monkey | Well, the "Red Blur" was from last season. They kept talking about how "The Red Blur is missing". No idea what they're going to call him this season. I mean, I know what I'd call him. But it wouldn't be very nice.
