| The Awesome One | I've been watching the remaining episodes of Caprica lately that have managed to show up online. How ironic is it that after the show gets canceled I'm starting to actually get into it? Don't get me wrong, I'm not involved enough in it to lament the cancelation, but some of the storylines are actually starting to get pretty good. The STO training is getting pretty good. The inclusion of some Cylons at the training area is a nice little fanwank but not so much that it's cheesy. The Halatha using a Cylon to go after a rival arms dealer and slaughter him and his compatriots was fucking awesome in every way. The New Cap City/Virtual Tamara and Zoe just keeps getting worse and worse. I hate it. I despise it. I LOATHE it! There is no redeeming quality to this plot line whatsoever and had I been the one to make the decision, I would have canceled the show based on this story line alone no matter how much potential the rest of the stories had. The girl that plays Tamara couldn't act to save her life (or her career apparently). And they seem to have been trying to turn Zoe into this "girl who's had enough" and gets all tough and shit. It just doesn't work. At all. Again, I can see why they canceled the show, but the last few eps have actually been enjoyable if you factor out the virtual world stuff. Hopefully the new prequel project does better than Caprica and learns from the mistakes that were made here.

| Religious Fanatic | I wish they'd just leave it alone. The problem with doing a prequel to a series (rather than a movie) is that you have to work around established mythology, and it's even worse for BSG because it has to follow a totally different format. BSG just doesn't have the same kind of open format as Star Trek or Buffy, so it's really difficult to expand on what's already there.

| The Awesome One | Ok, so I just watched the final episode. I'm not sure if they knew they were being canceled and did it for that reason, but in the last scene they show a flash forward montage of Cylons being integrated into every day life. Clarice (the monotheist terrorist) starts a church for them it would seem, preaching that they're all sentient beings and so forth.. the whole thing goes on for about 5 minutes and basically ends with the creation of the first "skin job" who is Zoe. It was fantastic.

![]() | I added it to Netflix, but honestly I'm not too keen to revisit it. It'll probably end up running better on DVD than it ever did on TV, but this is not a series I expect to fall in love with on the second go'round.

| The Awesome One | No and you shouldn't expect to. As cool as the last few minutes of the show were, it doesn't make up for the utter crap I had to watch to get to it. It is however worth a watch. And how did you Netflix it? It's already on Netflix in the US?

![]() | You can add titles to your queue before they're released, but you won't get them until they're available.

| The Awesome One | Oh. I'm using the Netflix streaming service for Canada, so when I hear people talking about "adding it to their Netflix queue" I'm a little lost. There's no queue or anything of the sort on Netflix.ca. If a movie isn't available, it either shows up in the search and says "not available" or it just doesn't show up in the search at all. Most often the latter is what happens.

![]() | Interesting. So you can't create a list of the movies you want to stream, either? Like if I'm browsing through and I see something I want to watch later, I can click "add to instant queue" and it saves it for me.
