| Astro-Monkey | http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/e...ent/6274118.htm EJO is warning fans of the old "Batlestar Galactica" not to watch the new mini-series, as it'll 'hurt them'. Of course it's just reverse psychology. Telling the masses not to do something will only encourage more people to do it, so I have a hard time believing that the Sci-fi executives are 'cringing'. As it is with TV advertising, any publicity is good publicity, but free publicity is always the best. ![]()

![]() | "Yes, don't watch the new 'Battlestar Galactica'. It will be painful for those who wish the show to suck. I repeat, if you do not want to watch a GOOD version of 'Battlestar Galactica,' don't watch this new show..."

![]() | I don't think that BG had enough time to build a fanbase as intense as Star Trek's. I'm sure it will play quite well once released. I could have sworn that show lasted for more than one season though. However, their strategy is a good one. This way, the fans will watch at their own risk, knowing that it's not going to be a faithful vision of the original BG... unlike B&B's mis-handling of the TREk franchise. I get the impression that B&B are mystified by the fan's reactions to their handiwork. BTW: Steve paid a visit to Paramount studios in L.A. and published his blog on TW. It stayed up on the site for one day, after which he replaced it with an apology to Paramount and Brannon Braga. Now I know that someone at Paramount reads the boards. |

![]() | He kinda gave away some details about one of next season's episodes, it involved water polo I think. There was a mention of a lifelike Porthos in the captain's quarters, to which I posted... "Oh my god!!! They killed Porthos!!! You bastards!!!" Steve said that the sets seemed a lot smaller than they appear on TV. He told of the planet hell or demon planet set (from VOY I presume) being redressed, with alien signs and repainting) It sounds like he met Brannon personally. |
